I've selected a few "junk food" places in Orlando you can visit that are dairy free (free of Cow's Milk). Inspired by my friends who are allergic to dairy, or are currently breastfeeding (ironic, they're producing milk but cannot consume it) and dairy gives their babies weird poop.
Dairy Free Ice Cream That Tastes Like the Real Deal from the Greenery Creamery (Instagram / Website)
Ice cream, America's favorite junk food. They have locations in Sanford AND Orlando, and their flavors change DAILY. They post their flavors on Instagram for peeps who wanna stay in the loop.
They're known for their charcoal cones that are a nice dark black but are super crunchy which I love! They also make DF Milk Shakes called "Milky Shakes" for those who miss the classic creamery libations.
My go-to flavor from the Greenery Creamery is the Thai Tea Vegan Ice Cream with a charcoal cone. I order the small scoop for 2 reasons: One, it's about $4 for a Mini-Scoop ($3.75) reason Two, I don't like sweets all that much so that's enough sugar for me!
Dairy Free Pizza That is also Gluten Free at Blaze Pizza (Website)
Another go to junk food, pizza (according to Statista, 17.67 million Americans consumed 10 pizzas or more in 2020. I myself probably had more than that, but what else do you do in a pandemic?)
Anyway, BLAZE! I've mentioned this place before in my GF Eatz Blog but I will do it again because it's the best I've found! The Gluten Free Dough is extra, but the Dairy Free cheese is NOT! Not the norm but I'll roll with it.
Plus, when you create your own pizza at Blaze, you can add unlimited toppings for no added charge so you can let your creativity run WILD!
I typically order the GF Dough with Regular Marinara Sauce
- DF cheese
- Spinach
- Chicken
- Red Onion
- Banana Peppers
- PINEAPPLE, YES
- Most important: Roasted Garlic
The total usually runs to being $10-$11 but you always get 2 meals out of it.
Sweets Treats at Valhalla Bakery (Instagram / Website)
The queen of all junk food/dairy free food, ALL their sweet stuff is egg-free and dairy-free but NOT Gluten Free. You will be in the toilet for a while if you have a gluten allergy and come here.
They have tons of decadent desserts ranging from brownies, to donuts. From donuts to cakes, and cakes to cookies! Valhalla Bakery also has a 2nd location in St Petersburg if you're in the area!
There's plenty of outdoor space to eat these treats when you visit their Market on South location. I usually start eating mine off my plate as I'm walking to a table but, to each their own!
